About
Doug holds a Masters Degree in Addiction Counseling and Professional Counseling. He has specialized in treating addiction, complex post-traumatic-stress-disorder and personality disorders. He completed the training to become a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist in 2014 and became fully trained in EMDR by the EMDR Institute in 2015. He has been licensed by the Arizona board of Behavioral Health Examiners since 2014. Doug’s counseling style is eclectic, person-centered and psychodynamic, he feels everyone is trying their best with the cards they were dealt, his role is to make their best, better. He believes that everyone can heal and that the purpose of counseling is to help people connect with their authentic and best self. Doug is the father of three wildly special human beings and you will likely see him with one or more of them outside of work. You also may see him running, or playing coaching hockey.
